In 2021, he continued to direct, choreograph, teach and mentor (virtually) while developing new works. Rommy continued to foster the next generation of musical theater artists alongisde Tony Award winner Scott Wise, Elizabeth Parkinson, Chase Brock, and Rob Berman for the Musical Theater Lab at Vineyard Arts Project.
The Unsinkable Molly Brown enjoyed a celebrated run in the Spring of 2020 at Abron's Art Center.
The production received 7 Drama Desk nominations including Outstanding Direction and Choreography, a Lucille Lortel nomination, and garnerned the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical as bell as Outstanding Actress for Beth Malone.

In the spring of 2020, Rommy choreographed How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying at The Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter Florida. Though the run was curtailed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the production gave hope to all that as the arts return - joy and laughter will be the salve to lift our spirits.
